The Whispering Grove
Welcome to "The Whispering Grove" ... We are a Celtic "grove" that gives a home for some who follow a nature-based spiritual path and seek to bring healing to Mother Earth and the Natural World.
The natural world around us serves as a teacher. We learn by observing. We learn by interacting.
If you simply take the time to quiet your mind and listen, you will find there are many voices within the natural world that will speak and share their knowledge with you -- from the animals to the plants alike.
Our grove is located within the southern portion of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

Observations & News from "The Whispering Grove"

  • Prayer Ceremony (Sept. 15, 2008) -- This evening a personal prayer ceremony was conducted in the grove by the fire.
  • Green Grass (Sept. 14, 2008) -- Although today is again hot, rain and cooler temperatures have allowed healing to flow across the grove. The grass has returned to a healthy green and several bushes have begun to show new growth.
  • Truthfulness & Kinship (Sept. 10, 2008) -- Along "life's path" within the grove, we moved the bush that represents truthfulness and planted the Red Japanese Maple (gifted to us by Edward & Jennifer) that represents Kinship. The same evening, each bush and tree along the path was blessed and rededicated.
  • Rain, Rain (Aug. 28, 2008) -- We have had two days of much needed slow and steady rain. For this, we are thankful.
  • The Bamboo Staff (Aug. 25, 2008) -- Mike finally figured out what he was gifted the bamboo staff. It is to help him find inner peace, balance and strength. READ BLOG ENTRY
  • Rain, Rain (Aug. 13, 2008) -- We have rain at last. This evening the rain is falling slow and steady.
  • Prayer Ceremony (Aug. 8, 2008) -- This evening a personal prayer ceremony was conducted in the grove by the fire.
  • Harvesting Grapes (Aug. 8, 2008) -- Although the garden may not be all we hope for this year, the grapes are abundant for the first year we are able to harvest them.
  • Break from the Heat (Aug. 8, 2008) -- The day has been cool and wonderful -- a relief from the heat.
  • Heat (July 21, 2008) -- We are having to keep an eye on the various plants within the grove as the heat of these past few weeks continues to be hard on some of them.
  • Full Moon (July 18, 2008) -- During a full moon prayer ceremony, the grove and all the plants within it were blessed and dedicated to the Creator.
  • Butterfly Japanese Maple (July 2, 2008) -- A Butterfly Japanese Maple was planted not far from the Silver Maple along the path the winds its way around the back of the grove. This tree helps define another path through the grove as well as represents giving, offering and honoring.
  • Others Allowed To Pick (July 2, 2008) -- Today, we allowed Lee's sister and children to pick from Mother Cherry at the top of the hill. Their family has always given to us so this is one way we can give back to them.
  • Grandfather Fire (July 1, 2008) -- Lit a fire in the fire pit and offered up a prayer of thanksgiving with a personal prayer pipe for the fruit being harvested.
  • Harvest Begins (June 30, 2008) -- Yesterday, we harvest the first blue berries. Today we picked black berries and sour cherries.

The-Natural-World.net

The-Natural-World.net is a special place. It is a set of discussion forum on the exploration of Nature-based Spirituality, the coming together of the tribes of man, and having a place set aside on the internet where people can enjoy each other's company while seeking better ways to live in harmony with Mother Earth.
